At Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS), integrity, ethics, and personal responsibility are considered core values and a fundamental part of how we work. We foster a culture of openness, transparency, and respectful communication. We are committed to listening to and acting upon all concerns raised in good faith.
If, in certain situations, an open conversation is not possible or appropriate, we encourage you to report any suspected cases of wrongdoing, unethical behavior, or irregularities through our whistleblowing system, in line with our Whistleblowing Policy.

Reports may include any issue of unethical or illegal behavior, suspected misconduct, breaches of legal or regulatory obligations, health and safety risks, environmental damage, misuse of resources, discrimination, harassment, or bullying.

Reports may concern HRNS staff, partners, consultants, beneficiaries, suppliers, or any other actors, whether individuals or organizations, connected to HRNS activities.

You can submit your report via: (1) the HRNS website reporting form (directed to our Compliance Officer or our external ombudsperson, depending on who you want to address the report to); (2) by contacting our external ombudsperson Dr. Philipp Engelhoven (whistleblower.hrns@esche.de, Tel. +49 40 36805 119); or (3) by emailing our Compliance Officer at complianceoffice@hrnstiftung.org. If your concern involves the Compliance Officer, please contact either the ombudsperson or our Managing Director Jens Sorgenfrei (managing.director@hrnstiftung.org, Tel. +49 40 808112 406). You may also contact external government reporting offices.

All reports will be handled promptly, respectfully, and with strict confidentiality. Anonymous reports are treated the same as those with contact details. You may remain anonymous by leaving contact fields blank in the online form or by using an untraceable email or phone number. If you submit a report, personal data and information are collected according to our Privacy Policy.

We commit to protecting whistleblowers from retaliation or reprisals. Any form of retaliation is a serious disciplinary offense and may lead to termination of employment or cooperation.

By raising concerns, you help us uncover misconduct, prevent harm, and strengthen integrity. We thank you for your valuable contribution to upholding our values.

If you wish to use our online form you choose first if you want to report to the HRNS Compliance Officer or the external ombudsperson. For uploading files please follow the instructions in the respective form.
